Capturing New Marketshare
Advanced Instruments identified an unmet market need that would open up a new customer base: large medical companies needing high throughput sample testing with the accuracy of AI’s gold standard osmometry device.
Sunrise developed an automated platform, capable of running 1000 tests without human intervention, around the core of a 20 sample testing device. This 5000% scale up in throughput was achieved without changing Advanced Instruments’ current line up of disposable components, and leveraged current manufacturing methods.
The end result was a product that dramatically increased scale and efficiency, allowing Advanced Instruments to capitalize on market demand.
