Sunrise Labs was inducted into the ‘Best Company to Work For’ Hall of Fame!
Sunrise Labs celebrates ‘Hall of Fame’ status from Business NH Magazine’s Best Company to Work For competition. Companies that earn a place on the Best Companies to Work For list four out of five consecutive years are inducted into the Hall of Fame for two years. This recognizes Sunrise’s extraordinary workplace culture that has kept Sunrise among the top employers in NH for several years running.
Sunrise’s success as an internationally recognized medical device design and development firm is based on our mission of engineering excellence, mutual respect, and uncompromising integrity. The practice of “assumption of positive intent” has built an environment of mutual trust and respect where people support one another. Employees are empowered and encouraged to make decisions, learn from mistakes, and grow and thrive together.
”Maintaining a positive and high respect culture that perseveres through thick and thin, and rapid growth, is both challenging and rewarding. It requires a strong foundation, commitment to purpose, innovation, and, most importantly, listening to people.”, says Eric Soederberg, President/CEO of Sunrise Labs.
Soederberg makes himself available to everyone at any time and meets one-on-one with every employee at least annually to learn about their Sunrise experience. Sherry Harding, Sunrise’s Director of Employee Experience, leads focus groups and committees to gain feedback on employee health/well-being and explore process improvements. Employees share their knowledge with co-workers by holding lunch-and-learns. This practice keeps our teams on top of cutting-edge technology.
Employees enjoy flexible schedules and a hybrid work environment to balance work and home life. Insight Principles workshops, led by the top iHeart trainers, help employees uncover their innate resilience and teach life skills that apply both within and outside of their work lives. Sunrise also runs nutrition, mindfulness, yoga, and meditation classes. Giving back to the community also provides connections and fulfillment. Each employee receives 16 hours to volunteer at a nonprofit. Our community programs have included mentoring in schools with STEM projects, mentoring FIRST Robotics teams, gifting at the holidays for families in need, refurbishing bikes for the less fortunate, and volunteering to help maintain gardens at NH Audubon.
